A NEW ERA BEGINS FOR CANADIAN INLINE HOCKEY

A New Era Begins for Canadian Inline Hockey

Welcome to the Canadian Inline Hockey Federation

The future of Canadian inline hockey has arrived.

Following the successful merger of Roller Hockey Canada and Canada Inline, we are proud to introduce the Canadian Inline Hockey Federation (CIHF). By bringing together the experience, passion, and leadership of both organizations under one national banner, we are creating a stronger pathway for athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers from coast to coast.

This is more than a name change.

It is the beginning of a unified vision for inline hockey in Canada.

Together, we are building a national program that focuses on athlete development, high performance, grassroots growth, and creating opportunities for every Canadian who wants to be part of our sport.

Building Something Special

Every great program starts somewhere.

Today marks the humble beginning of what we believe will become one of the premier inline hockey programs in the world. While our goals are ambitious, our foundation will always remain the same:

  • Developing Canadian athletes at every age and skill level.
  • Creating clear pathways from local leagues to international competition.
  • Supporting coaches, officials, volunteers, and program leaders.
  • Growing the game in communities across Canada.
  • Building a culture that athletes are proud to represent.

This isn't just about selecting national teams.

It's about building a hockey community that every Canadian can be proud to call home.

Looking Ahead to the Rest of 2026

The remainder of 2026 promises to be an exciting time as we officially launch the Canadian Inline Hockey Federation and begin assembling the next generation of Team Canada athletes and leaders.

Over the coming months, watch for:

  • National Team coaching staff announcements
  • High Performance program information
  • Athlete identification and application opportunities
  • Junior and Senior Women's National Team updates
  • Junior and Senior Men's National Team updates

  • Coach and official development initiatives
  • National program standards and athlete resources
  • Community growth initiatives across Canada
  • International competition announcements and preparation

Each announcement represents another building block in creating Canada's national inline hockey program.

More Than a National Team

The Canadian Inline Hockey Federation is committed to creating opportunities far beyond international competition.

We are building programs that strengthen every level of the sport, including:

  • Grassroots player development
  • Female hockey initiatives
  • Youth development programs
  • Coach education
  • Official development
  • Tournament partnerships
  • Provincial collaboration
  • Club support
  • High Performance athlete pathways

Success at the international level begins with strong local programs, and together we will continue investing in both.

Come Help Build the Future

The most exciting part of this new journey is that it is only just beginning.

Whether you are an athlete chasing your dream of wearing Team Canada, a coach wanting to develop the next generation, an official, volunteer, parent, sponsor, or someone who simply believes in the future of inline hockey, there is a place for you within the Canadian Inline Hockey Federation.

History isn't only written by those who arrive after the program is established.

It is written by the people who choose to build it.

Join us as we lay the foundation for something that will inspire Canadian inline hockey for generations to come.

Together, we will build a program, a culture, and a legacy worthy of the Maple Leaf.

This is the new beginning.

Come help us build something incredible.
