In 2026, Canadian inline hockey returns to the international stage.

The Canadian Inline Hockey Federation | Canada Inline is proud to bring together athletes, coaches, staff, and volunteers from across the country to represent Canada at the 2026 World Skate Games in Asunción, Paraguay.

This is more than a hockey tournament.

It is an opportunity to bring Canadian athletes together, build a stronger national program, develop the next generation of Canadian inline hockey, and proudly wear the Maple Leaf in international competition.

From Alberta to Ontario, British Columbia to Quebec, and communities across Canada, athletes have come together with one common goal:

Represent Canada.

THE WORLD SKATE GAMES

The World Skate Games bring together the world's leading roller and skate sport disciplines on an international stage.

For inline hockey, the event provides an opportunity for national teams from around the world to compete against the best athletes in the sport.

The 2026 edition will take place in:

For Team Canada, the journey to Paraguay represents the beginning of a renewed national-team pathway for Canadian inline hockey.

Canadian athletes will have the opportunity to compete internationally, experience the culture of high-level World Skate competition, and represent their country against some of the strongest inline hockey nations in the world.

CANADA'S NATIONAL TEAMS

Canada Inline is building a national program designed to create opportunities for Canadian athletes at multiple stages of their development.

For the 2026 World Skate Games, Canada is participating with four national teams:

🇨🇦 SENIOR MEN

Canada's Senior Men's National Team brings together experienced Canadian players competing at the highest level of inline hockey.

The program combines established national-team experience with new talent and represents Canada's senior men's pathway on the international stage.

🇨🇦 SENIOR WOMEN

The Senior Women's National Team represents the continued growth and development of women's inline hockey in Canada.

The program is an important part of Canada's national pathway and provides Canadian women with the opportunity to compete internationally while helping build the future of women's inline hockey across the country.

🇨🇦 JUNIOR MEN

The Junior Men's National Team provides Canadian athletes with an opportunity to gain international experience while competing against elite junior players from around the world.

This program is an important bridge between youth development and senior international competition.

🇨🇦 JUNIOR WOMEN

The Junior Women's National Team represents an important investment in the future of women's inline hockey in Canada.

The program creates an international pathway for young Canadian women and provides an opportunity to develop the experience, confidence, and leadership required to continue into senior-level competition.

MORE THAN A TEAM

Team Canada is not simply a roster of players.

It is a national program built around:

Athletes
Players who have earned the opportunity to compete for Canada.

Coaches
Leaders responsible for preparing athletes, developing team systems, and creating an environment where players can perform at their best.

Team Staff
The people working behind the scenes to manage logistics, communications, equipment, medical requirements, travel, administration, and event operations.

Families
The people who support athletes throughout the journey and make international competition possible.

The Canadian Inline Hockey Community
Players, coaches, officials, volunteers, organizers, clubs, leagues, associations, sponsors, and supporters who continue to grow the sport across Canada.

Every part of that community has a role in building Team Canada.

BUILDING A NATIONAL PATHWAY

The 2026 Team Canada program is part of a larger vision for Canadian inline hockey.

Canada Inline is working toward a sustainable national pathway that connects:

Grassroots Hockey → Youth Development → Junior National Teams → Senior National Teams → International Competition

The goal is to create more opportunities for Canadian athletes to discover inline hockey, develop their skills, compete at increasingly higher levels, and ultimately have a pathway toward representing Canada.

The national team program is one piece of that larger puzzle.

Canada has a long and proud hockey culture.

Inline hockey provides another opportunity for Canadian athletes to develop creativity, speed, skill, decision-making, teamwork, and adaptability.

When Team Canada enters the rink in Asunción, the players will be representing more than the names on the back of their jerseys.

And the young players watching from rinks across Canada who may one day wear the same jersey.
