MAPLE NATION

CANADIAN INLINE HOCKEY FEDERATION | CANADA INLINE
2027 WINTER PROGRAM INFORMATION & TEAM FEES

Maple Nation is the national development and travel program of the Canadian Inline Hockey Federation (Canada Inline).

Following the tremendous response to our 2027 Expression of Interest, Canada Inline is moving forward with asking for registrations for Winter Wars

WINTER WARS WEST

February 19–21, 2027
Corona & Irvine, California

2027 PROGRAM FEES

$695 CAD

The standard Maple Nation player fee for the event is $695 CAD.

A $100 CAD deposit is required at registration for the tournament.

The deposit is applied directly toward the player fee:

$695 Player Fee
− $100 Deposit
= $595 Remaining Balance

RETURNING MAPLE NATION PLAYERS

SAVE $100 PER EVENT

Players who represented Maple Nation at the 2026 NARCh Finals may reuse their existing Maple Nation uniform package.

If your uniform is complete, still fits properly and remains in good condition, you can save $100 from the player fee for each 2027 event.

STANDARD FEE

$695 CAD per event

RETURNING PLAYER REUSING 2026 UNIFORM

$595 CAD per event

If a uniform is damaged, significantly worn, incomplete or no longer fits properly, replacement items or a new uniform package may be required.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

The Maple Nation program fee includes or contributes toward:

  • Tournament team entry
  • Canada Inline / Maple Nation administration
  • Player insurance where applicable
  • Coaching and bench staff support
  • Maple Nation uniform package for players requiring one
  • Tournament-specific team expenses
  • Team administration
  • Event coordination
  • Roster management
  • Program planning and logistics

Additional tournament-specific information will be communicated once teams and rosters are confirmed.

PLAYER CONFIRMATION & TEAM FORMATION

The original 2027 Expression of Interest was non-binding and helped Canada Inline determine which events had enough interest to pursue.

We are now moving into Player Confirmation & Team Formation.

To be considered for a Maple Nation roster, players must complete the registration for the tournament they wish to attend and submit the $100 deposit.

Players wishing to attend both events must register separately for both.

Registration allows Canada Inline to determine:

  • Committed players by age group
  • Goaltender availability
  • Viable teams and divisions
  • Opportunities for multiple teams
  • Appropriate competitive levels
  • Coaching and team staff requirements
  • Hotel requirements
  • Tournament entries and logistics

DOES REGISTRATION GUARANTEE A ROSTER?

No.

Registration and payment of the $100 deposit place the player into the confirmed player pool for team selection for that event.

Player placement may consider:

  • Birth year
  • Playing experience
  • Skill and competitive level
  • Previous Maple Nation participation
  • Previous Canada Inline evaluations
  • Coach feedback
  • Positional requirements
  • Goaltender availability
  • Team balance
  • Appropriate tournament competition level

Where sufficient registrations exist, Canada Inline may form multiple teams within an age division to provide additional opportunities at appropriate competitive levels.

Our goal is to build balanced teams that provide players with a meaningful, competitive and positive tournament experience.

DEPOSIT & REFUND POLICY

The $100 deposit is part of the player fee, not an additional charge.

If Canada Inline cannot offer a player a roster position because a viable team cannot be formed, there are insufficient numbers, or an appropriate roster opportunity is unavailable, the $100 deposit will be refunded.

If a player is offered an appropriate roster position and subsequently chooses not to participate, the deposit may become non-refundable once Canada Inline has begun making financial commitments based on the player's confirmed participation.

Once a roster position is accepted and confirmed, additional payments may also become non-refundable as tournament, uniform and program commitments are made.

Full payment and cancellation terms will be communicated with roster confirmation.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION

Players and families are responsible for their own:

  • Airfare
  • Hotel accommodations
  • Ground transportation
  • Meals
  • Personal travel expenses
  • Travel and medical insurance
  • Passport and required travel documentation

Canada Inline will work to coordinate team hotel blocks, group rates and available discounts once confirmed team numbers are known.

Staying with the team is strongly encouraged where possible because it supports:

  • Team bonding
  • Player and family interaction
  • Team meetings and activities
  • Communication
  • A stronger overall tournament experience
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK NON-REFUNDABLE TRAVEL YET.

Tournament divisions may have different competition windows.

Canada Inline will provide recommended arrival and departure information once teams and divisional schedules are confirmed.

COACHES & TEAM STAFF

The number of confirmed registrations will determine how many Maple Nation teams can be formed and how many coaches and team staff will be required.

Canada Inline will identify and confirm qualified:

  • Head Coaches
  • Assistant Coaches
  • Team Managers
  • Team support staff where required

We are looking for staff who share the Maple Nation philosophy of:

Development • Competition • Sportsmanship • Teamwork • Representing Canada with Pride

THE MAPLE NATION PATHWAY 🇨🇦

Maple Nation brings Canadian players together from different leagues, provinces and communities to compete at major inline hockey events.

Our mission is to:

  • Develop athletes on and off the rink
  • Create meaningful competitive opportunities
  • Connect players from across Canada
  • Promote sportsmanship and teamwork
  • Provide access to high-level tournament experiences
  • Build a consistent national development program
  • Create opportunities that can lead toward Team Canada

Maple Nation isn't built around one tournament.

It is being developed as a program players can return to across multiple events, seasons and age divisions as Canada Inline continues to expand opportunities for Canadian athletes.
